This past weekend, on August
3, 2002, I was fortunate enough to attend the wedding of Dave
Shu and Abigail Johnston. I've known David for about eight years
now, dating back to my days in Hamber House when we both lived
in residence at UBC. He is one of the nicest guys I know and
an outstanding gentleman.
David and Abigail decided to
have their wedding in the expansive backyard of Dave's parents'
compound in Surrey. For some of the guests, this was familiar
party territory, being the former site of the well received Surrey-palozas.
There were about 200 guests in attendance, on what turned out
to be a fabulous afternoon and evening. The whole affair was
executed in a first class manner. This was no doubt due to Abigail's
meticulous planning and the fine folks at Culinary Capers Catering.
Much merriment was had by all.
This was one of the most enjoyable weddings I've attended. I
managed to snap a few photos from my crappy disposable camera.
